THE Evening Chronicle and the Newcastle Building Society have
pounds 25,000 to give away to groups across the community.
Today we are printing another set of tokens to add to your
collection for this year's Wish campaign.
This is the chance for groups and individuals to make their wishes
come true by joining the quest for a share of the pounds 25,000 pot we
are giving away to deserving causes in the North East.
We wish everyone involved the very best of luck in getting as much
money as possible for their projects.
There is also an opportunity for every reader to play a part in
helping the charities or organisations of their choice. You can support
any of the groups by saving the tokens and sending them off to your
favourite cause.
This means that everyone can have some small say in rewarding those
who are playing a part in improving our communities.
The groups who have joined this year's Wish campaign are all
featured on our website at www.chroniclelive.co.u k.
They range from sports clubs to schools, old folks'
organisations, charities and community groups. The one common factor is
that they are all enhancing the quality of life for others.
Gillian Tiplady, head of Corporate Social Responsibility, at
Newcastle Building Society, said: "Supporting the Wish campaign is
important to us as an organisation that cares about, and aims to give
something back to our local communities.
"As a mutual and the biggest building society based in the
North East, we feel a sense of responsibility to assist deserving
groups".
