Distribution center in Idaho completed by Stellar for
Dot.
The Stellar Group, Jacksonville, Florida, USA, has completed
construction a 138,000-square foot multi-temperature warehouse in
Burley, Idaho, for Dot Foods, a leading foodservice redistributor.
The facility, which began operations in July, services Dot
Foods' customers in the Pacific Northwest region, including Idaho,
Washington, Oregon, Utah and parts of Nevada and Wyoming. Stellar
provided full design and build services.
The ammonia-refrigerated warehouse includes a -10[degrees] F
freezer, a 35[degrees] cooler and 35[degrees] truck loading docks. The
facility also includes dry storage, a dry loading dock, a welfare area,
a battery charging station and a truck maintenance garage. A steel
racking system stores pallets up to 41 feet high.
The unit is the ninth distribution center for Mt. Sterling,
Illinois-based Dot Foods, which ships frozen and refrigerated and dry
products on the same trucks, letting distributors order a mix of items
at different temperatures.
