In 2006, all Northern Ontario cities fell below the national proportion (50.7%) and the provincial proportion (51.0%) of the population (15 years and over) with post secondary education. In North Bay, 50.3% of the population had post secondary education followed by Sudbury (49.3%), Thunder Bay (49.1%), Sault Ste. Marie (45.9%), and Timmins (43.8%).
