ALCONTROL LABORATORIES 01709 369699 are pleased to announce the appointment of Dean Hammer as Operations Director UK Food. He will have responsibility for the six UK food laboratory sites, ensuring delivery of agreed service to all customers, business planning and executing change.

Dean has had extensive experience of laboratory work in both factory and contract laboratories. After progression through the ranks to Site Manager with ALcontrol, Dean returned to Pennine Foods where he headed up the in-house testing facility and latterly worked as QA Manager. On rejoining ALcontrol as Project Manager, Dean was involved in driving new and existing projects forward across the group. His combination of laboratory expertise and experience of factory management and production, equating to more than 18 years in the food industry, will enable ALcontrol to deliver a more efficient and focused service.

In addition, Julie Hulme has been appointed Technical Account Manager, a role that Julie will take up following a transitional period overseeing the handover of her current responsibilities in the Quality department. Once established, Julie will be the figurehead for all technical account management activity, responsible for the technical interface between customers and the laboratories. It will be an important linking role which will ensure that each part of their business is accurately reflecting the testing requirements of each of ALcontrol's customers.
