Weekly UpdatesGETAC Inc., a specialist rugged mobile computer manufacturer with over 20 years experience, has announced plans to increase its presence in Germany, Switzerland and Austria and the appointment of Ted Hilbert as Business Development Manager.
The appointment of Ted Hilbert follows a number of recent key accounts wins for GETAC. Hilbert will be based in Munich, Germany and plans to work closely with GETAC's new key partners to assist them in exploring business opportunities.
Commenting on his appointment, Hilbert said, "The market for rugged mobile computer solutions has been fast growing in these countries in recent years and so it is key for GETAC to have a strong presence. By having a local presence we are able to provide our existing business partners with a dedicated pre and post sales service, as well as more face to face communication. We also hope that by providing our partners with a more dedicated service we can attract new customers."
The introduction of the localised GETAC Business Development Manager will provide quicker response times and a more accurate information portal to its existing client base when they require product or technical support, which will ultimately result in a comprehensive service for clients in this region.
Commenting on the appointment of Ted Hilbert, Rowina Lee, sales vice president of GETAC said, "With Ted working closely with our partners to explore new business opportunities with our new product range, I am extremely positive that we can become more established in these regions and look forward to seeing how our market share develops."
The news comes on the back of several successful product launches for GETAC this year including; the fully-rugged B300 notebook and V100 convertible Tablet PC, both featuring GETAC's exclusive Sunlight Readable Technology (SRT) of 1200cd/msq, the new GETAC E100, believed to be the world's lightest rugged Tablet PC and the GETAC PS535E personal data collection device.
