Wallbridge Mining Company Limited and joint venture partner Lonmin Plc have announced combined funding of $1.5 million for 2009 exploration program on its Sudbury Camp Joint Venture properties.

With a focus on platinum group metals, copper and nickel, the work will involve 3,700 metres of diamond drilling in addition to other work through to Sept. 30, 2009.

The project will look at target areas in the Skynner Lake, Trill, Foy and Cascaden properties.

"We are very pleased that Lonmin is again participating in our exploration efforts in Sudbury," said Alar Soever, president of Wallbridge, in a release.

"This will allow us to further advance these properties, in spite of the current difficult economic environment."

Of the $1.5 million total, Lonmin will provide $1.1 million, while Wallbridge will supply the remaining $400,000.
