College Boreal, 5th Wheel Training hail successful partnership.(SUDBURY BRIEFS)

Less than a year after signing a partnership agreement, College Boreal and 5th Wheel Training Institute are praising their success in jointly offering education programs in transportation and heavy equipment.

After the ink dried on the partnership last April, more than 20 students have registered in the grader operator, tractor-trailer truck driver and heavy equipment operator programs.

Most have found work in their fields, including Eric Gosselin, a former forestry worker who has since seen employment offers from multiple prominent Kapuskasing firms.

Funding for this training is available through government programs such as the Second Career initiative as well as the Skills Development strategy
