DocsCorp (www.docscorp.com), a global leader in content and information management and workflow, will announce an upgrade release to its flagship product at LegalTech New York (booth 2413)-pdfDocs Desktop 2.2. The release sees new integration into Microsoft SharePoint in addition to significant enhancements to its Binder technology.
Developed in the Desktop 2.1 release, the Binder capability in pdfDocs Desktop focuses on the needs of corporate, government and legal clients to automate the process of bundling vast amounts of documents and information related to a case, matter or project into a single, easily-navigated document, which can then be archived, delivered to a client or sent to an external third party.
"Our Binder capability has taken a quantum leap with this Desktop 2.2 release," says David Woolstencroft, DocsCorp Vice President Global Sales and Marketing, "not only in terms of technology but more importantly in terms of how knowledge workers will produce, present and consume information in the future."
"Consider how we currently receive and consume information-email attachments, zipped files, paper-based documents-all unorganized and unstructured. Our Binder technology enables users to assemble and organize information quickly and easily; as a result, readers are able to find what they are looking for in a matter of mouse clicks! Now that's technology worth having, concludes Woolstencroft."
The Binder functionality in the 2.1 release gave users an efficient and flexible method of "binding" PDF and non-PDF documents together into a single or multi-PDF document collection, complete with Table of Contents, cross-document bookmarks and links to every document in the collection-irrespective of type.
New functionality in the pdfDocs Desktop 2.2 release delivers even more in terms of efficiency and productivity when working with document bundling-sometimes referred to as CD Bibles, Closing or Deal Books.=20
Specifically users will be able to create and edit templates and cover pages; edit documents in the native application directly from the Binder; set up and embed security, watermark, header and footer settings into the Binder; create Binder Snapshot(s) to prevent users from moving or deleting documents at different stages of the Binder production.
