Glasgow: Helix Well Ops, a global leader in light well intervention, has purchased the MCS:Fugro system, Optima (R), for their new light well intervention (LWI) vessel, MSV Well Enhancer.
"Optima (R) is a suite of on-board riser management tools for monitoring and planning operations with drilling, completion/workover, and LWI risers," explains Alan Dougan, head of the Structural Monitoring division of Fugro GEOS, which supplies the system in partnership with MCS, the foremost experts in riser analysis software. "The Optima=AE = range provides both the operator and drilling contractor with significant benefits that can translate into substantial cost savings as well as enhancing safety and integrity. We are confident that these benefits will prove of great value to Helix Well Ops on their new vessel."=20
