Sault launches immigration web portal.(IN BRIEF)

The City of Sault Ste. Marie is hot on the trail of attracting talented newcomers.

Provincial Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Michael Chan was in the Sault, Jan. 19, to deliver a $300,000 cheque to set up a website to promote the city as a great place to settle.

The Discover the Sault website will be linked to the ministry's website to provide information on the community, labour market and skills accreditation.

The Sault is one of 17 Ontario municipalities funded under the Municipal Immigration Information Online program designed to promote themselves through gateway websites.
