Weekly UpdatesAlexandria, Va. Steve Ridenhour, CEO of ServRight, the leading North American vendor-independent technical services provider, has announced the company has completed the purchase of the service contract customer database of Data Business Systems (DBS), a Birmingham,
Alabama-based dealer and service provider of document finishing equipment. Under the terms of the agreement, DBS has transitioned the company's service contracts and time and materials service to ServRight. In addition, all future service contracts on products sold by DBS will be ServRight contracts. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Data Business Systems is the largest servicing Formax dealer in the Birmingham, Alabama area. In addition to Formax, the company services Infoseal Pressure Seal Systems, HP and Lexmark products. The company's service area covers the entire states of Alabama and Mississippi and the Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan region. Their customer base includes small businesses, universities, manufacturing facilities and financial institutions.

"The company's history of service and close to 100% contract renewal rate made their database an attractive acquisition opportunity for us."
