In the upcoming years, the value of good industrial engineering talent and knowledge becomes immeasurable, but we have to step up to the plate, market and deliver our talents to the world.

I believe the three topics industrial engineers will be addressing this year are improving efficiency and simultaneously enabling the green supply chain, optimizing the supply chain network to support corporate survival and reducing labor needs with automation. Innovative ideas such as cost justifying automated forklifts using lithium batteries and distribution and transportation network optimizations that minimize fuel usage and maximize customer service levels will be used to better operations.
