HB Litigation launches report & conference.(Conference news)


Mealey's Litigation Conferences, now a part of HB Litigation Conferences (Berwyn, PA), the new company that recently acquired the Mealey's Conference unit from LexisNexis, has launched a new publication and conference for the insurance and reinsurance industries.

HB Litigation Conferences has launched "Reinsurance Roundtable Continuum," a new monthly report whose publication is inspired by HB Litigation's Insurance & Reinsurance Roundtable conference for reinsurance attorneys and executives. The new report carries articles and interviews with faculty from the Roundtable, the Global Reinsurance Forum, as well as regular reinsurance teleconferences produced by the company and original content. An annual subscription costs $595.

Editorial includes information on topics such as: current challenges facing the insurance and reinsurance industries; insurance company general counsels' role in the regulatory process; the implications of the ongoing recession and soft market; the sub-prime crisis and reinsurance issues; surviving a recession; and, the debate over regulation framed "by economic meltdown." Mealey's Litigation Conferences is producing the sixteenth annual Insurance Insolvency & Reinsurance Roundtable in Scottsdale in April Mealey's executive Tom Hagy said "we believe that we have a new way of connecting and educating our attendees throughout the year. By delivering content from recent programs as well as upcoming conferences, the (new report) will help keep the conversation going from one program to the next, while giving our speakers a new outlet for sharing their insights with a broader audience."

Mealey's is also launching "The Reinsurance & Arbitration Conference,," an annual covering reinsurance and industry arbitration, and "Madoff and Ponzi Scheme Litigation," a live/webcast event that includes an overview of the investment fraud, the role of the SIPC, clawback litigation, indirect investor litigation, tax issues and offshore funds.
