LexisNexis Mealey (New York) has begun the publication of a new monthly report on developing litigation related to exposure to benzene and a series of executive summaries on a range of current and emerging litigation topics. An annual subscription costs $750.
"Mealey's Litigation Report: Benzene" is a monthly newsletter targeted to counsel on both sides of the aisle and features case news, "hard-to-find" filings, opinions and pleadings, summaries of scientific reports and expert commentary.
Initial features carried by the report includes information on: an award in a state case related to the migration of benzene into a residential community water supply; class actions complaints alleging product liability personal injury causes of action for soft drinks containing benzene; a claim that a state law's accrual law denies due process rights to pursue a latent disease claim; a federal claim against chemical manufacturers claiming a causal relationship between benzene and leukemia; and, a city appeal to a Texas Supreme Court decision finding that benzene exposure led to leukemia.
LexisNexis Mealey's has also launched 20 new Executive Summaries on a variety of litigation topics, including asbestos verdicts, asbestos insurance, reinsurance arbitration, punitive damages post-Campbell, emerging insurance disputes, patents, benzene, mold, premises liability verdicts, heart devices, drug preemption, and e-discovery.
Each summary is a compilation of cases, expert commentaries, and analysis and costs $295.
