Legal information provider Lexxion (Berlin) has begun the publication of "Carbon & Climate Law Review," a new quarterly journal launched in response to the growing demand for discussion of the implementation of climate policies and regulatory frameworks. An annual subscription to the journal, targeted to legal practitioners and other professionals involved in corporate and government environmental issues, costs [euro]348 in print and [euro]315 online.
Lexxion said the new journal "strikes a balance" between the interests of practitioners, including those involved in the evolving carbon market, and a more "doctrinal approach," alternating legal policy recommendations with articles on legal aspects of carbon trading and other issues related to greenhouse gas regulation.
A section on current developments includes information on recent market trends, political decisions, new literature and relevant events. Initial issues include articles on topics such as: international, national and regional priorities related to carbon capture and storage and the law; evaluations of emission trading schemes; offsets in the international trading market; the potential role of the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) in future climate change regimes; legal principles of forest carbon; national implementation; and, payment for eco-system services.
Lexxion produces three other English-language law journals, including "European State Aid Law Quarterly," "European Food and Feed Law Review" and "European Public Private Partnership Law Review."
