New korean journals on International & Asian Law.

The Yujin Institute of International Law (Seoul, Korea) has begun the publication of the "Journal of East Asia and International Law," a new English-language journal that is designed to enhance understanding of the formation of formal and informal transnational law mechanisms in East Asia. An annual subscription costs $120 for institutions and $60 for individuals. It is published three times a year.

The Institute said the title's mission is to promote research and commentary from both researchers and practitioners in North American and Asian jurisdictions, including international and comparative legal concerns and controversies regarding East Asian affairs. Content covers "all aspects" of international and comparative law applicable to East Asia, significant developments relating to East Asia and international law, inter-regional and transnational issues, and legal trends.

The fist two issues include articles and commentary on self determination and autonomy in international law, the legal status of Tibet, resolving jurisdiction conflicts between courts and arbitral tribunals, medical malpractice in Japan, contract law, copyright enforcement in China, stem cell research in Korea and the legal status of Taiwan in the WTO.

Also, Korea University's Legal Research Institute (Seoul, Korea) has begun the publication of "Asian Business Lawyer," a new quarterly journal designed to carry information and intelligence on legal developments throughout Asia and the Asia-Pacific region.

Content includes articles on regional and news and legal developments, national legal, regulatory and legislative developments, corporate legal news, law firms, and a range of practice areas, including mergers and acquisitions, taxes, intellectual property, international arbitration, labor and competition.

It also includes coverage of employment law, information technology and telecommunications, finance, patents, trademarks and copyrights, and outsourcing.
