ASIS International (Alexandria, VA) has released "Healthcare Fraud: Auditing and Detection Guide," a hardcover book that is written to serve as a tool to help healthcare managers, auditors, counsel, and fraud investigators detect all types of healthcare fraud, from false statements and claims to collusive schemes. Content includes guidance on auditing and fraud detection, examinations of how data mapping and mining can be used to maximize the efficiency of fraud investigations, discussion of the clinical, research, internal audit, investigative, data intelligence and forensic aspects of detection, case studies and methodologies of investigative tools, and outlines of fraud prevention, detection and investigative methods. The book costs $72 for non-ASIS members.
