The new Video Decoding Accelerator (VDA) supports simultaneous decoding of up to 16 D1 video streams from a wide variety of cameras and codecs, while flawlessly displaying all streams at full frame rate on up to four high-definition monitors.
"The Matrox VDA-1164 eliminates the workstation decoding bottleneck by completely offloading the video decoding burden from the host CPU," said Alain Thiffault, Business Development Manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. "By doing so, single-seat surveillance systems or large-scale IP security network operator stations can run sophisticated applications while meeting the ever-increasing demand for more camera streams, higher frame rates, and more complex codecs."
