Aerolineas Argentinas

Aerolineas Argentinas began its two weekly frequencies from Almirante Zar Airport of Trelew to the city of Esquel starting Friday, May 1. May 6, 2009

Aeromexico

Aeromexico will increase routes in the domestic and international market, before a growing demand of corporate market. Aeromexico will fly from Mexico City to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chetumal, Hautulco, Cozumel, Colima, Tepic and Lazaro Cardenas with an Embrear 145 for 50 passengers. The new nine international routes to America will be Guadalajara-San Jose (California), Los Cabos [ETH] San Francisco, the City of Mexico [ETH] New Orleans, Puerto Vallarta [ETH] San Diego. In South America, it will have one daily flight between Cancun and Buenos Aires, Argentina, and another flight will be the city of Mexico - Medellin, Colombia. May 6, 2009

Curaao

The island of Curaao is offering travelers an extra USD 100 rebate on airfare if they book travel via the islandOs Curaao Now promotion. They will also receive a free night during their five-night vacation, plus other value-added savings. Travelers must book by July 15 to receive all of these Curaao Now deals, including USD 200 per person credit on airline tickets; a free night at the 17 participating hotels; USD 140 food and beverage credit; a free dive day; a free car rental day; discounted admission to CuraaoOs many museums; half price attractions, tours and transfers; and shopping discounts in downtown Willemstad, CuraaoOs capital. Delta Air Lines

Delta Air Lines changes beginning of its flights to Los Angeles to June 30th. Delta, that had required an authorization of DOT in order to fly between Sao Paulo and Los Angeles from May 22st, will begin to operate the flight on July 1st, due to high season in this date. May 6, 2009

LAN Airlines

LAN Airlines announced that it will add three new weekly frequencies to its Cordoba-Santiago route beginning from June 1st. With the arrival of these new frequencies, the airline will increase its offer to a total of fourteen flights. May 6, 2009

Mexico

According to press reports, Mexican Health Secretary Jos Crdova announced the swine flu epidemic continues to show signs of easing, meaning the government can begin to lift the restrictions that have all but shut down the MexicoOs economy since Friday. Crdova said that most businesses can begin reopening on Wednesday, May 6, including cafes, museums and libraries in Mexico City. Universities will reopen starting Thursday, and other schools will follow Monday after health inspections are carried out, he said. OThat still doesnOt mean the problem is over or that we shouldnOt be careful,O Cordova said. Mexico City Mayor Marcelo Ebrard said the city will be on OpermanentO lookout for signs of a relapse. www.visitmexico.com May 6, 2009

Mexico

Most of the largest U.S. airlines said Friday they will temporarily reduce service to Mexico, as swine flu fears keeps many U.S. travelers from venturing south of the border. Continental Airlines, the biggest U.S. carrier to Mexico, said it will cut by half the number of seats it sells to fly to Mexico beginning Monday. The Houston-based airline said it will work with travelers to get them where they need to go, although schedules and routes might change. US Airways, another major U.S. carrier to Mexico, said it would reduce its May and June departures to Mexico by 38 percent, beginning May 10. Delta Air Lines also said it would reduce its Mexico service to match declining demand, but it didn't indicate how deep the cuts would be. May 4, 2009

Nayarit

Dr. Omar Reynozo Gallegos, Minister of Health for the State of Nayarit, along with Dr. Jos cngel Crdova Villalobos, National Secretary of Health of Mexico, has announced that Riviera Nayarit has no reported cases of the swine flu, H1N1 virus. On April 30, 2009, Gallegos issued a statement, saying, OThe State of Nayarit continues to be on an epidemiologic alert due to the situation prevailing in our country; at this time the circulation of H1N1 (swine flu virus) has not been reported within our state. We have adopted measures for greater surveillance and prevention as per the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines so this flu does not come to our state.O www.RivieraNayarit.com. May 7, 2009

Pluna

Pluna would include the city of Comodoro Rivadavia into the airline route network. On May 27th, Pluna planed to begin flights that join Trelew (Chubut) to Montevideo and Sao Paulo. May 6, 2009
