Weekly UpdatesThe Verizon Foundation has given grants totaling $635,000 to four Arkansas nonprofits supporting efforts to improve education and aid teacher training and work force development. The organizations receiving grants are Jobs for America's Graduates, $250,000; One Economy, $250,000; and two grants to the Arkansas Department of Education, one for $100,000 and the other for $35,000.
