Job search I.(Outtakes: An Inside Look Into Arkansas Media)

It's still unknown whom B.J. Sams will pass the baton to when he steps down as one of the morning anchors for KTHV-TV, Channel 11, at July's end.

KTHV has not even begun the search in earnest, Chuck Maulden, the CBS affiliate's news director, said.

"We are going to look, of course, at inside candidates and outside candidates," Maulden said. "We have already had some interest from folks outside the station."

The process should begin in about a week, Maulden said, adding that the station has not posted a job ad just yet.

I hope we find a successor soon, "but I hate to put a date on it," Maulden said. "We obviously want to make it a good transition."
