Great Hotels Organisation
Great Hotels Organisation (GHO) has boosted its membership with the addition of four luxury hotels. Three Cancun properties join GHO as Great Hotels of the World and Special Hotels of the World. They are the Hacienda Tres Rios, Laguna Suites Golf and Spa and the Ocean Spa Hotel. The Les Suites Ching-Cheng Hotel Taipei, Taiwan, has also joined GHO. www.ghotw.com May 21, 2009

On Wednesday May 20, OHigh TeaO saw people enjoying a cup of tea on top of some of the cityOs most iconic buildings including; The Roundhouse; Monument; IPC Building; Kensington Palace and Westminster Abbey. VisitBritain, the national tourist office for England, Scotland and Wales, on May 12 called on the best in the travel industry to write and record an original song all about the great value travelers will find in Great Britain. This one-of-a-kind music group teamed up with legendary rocker Earl Slick (known for his work with John Lennon and David Bowie) and Grammy award-winning producer/songwriter Mark Hudson. Slick and Hudson worked with the group to produce everything from devising a beat to writing [ETH] and yes, singing -- the lyrics. Participants included USTOA president Bob Whitley, leaders of more than a dozen tour operating companies including Trafalgar Tours and Globus and members of VisitBritainOs travel trade staff.
