As you may remember from our May 4 issue, several new businesses had emerged from the ashes of Alltel Corp.
And more have appeared since then.
Chris Cutler, Alltel's former director of corporate communications, has launched a Web design and marketing firm called Cutman Graphix.
We're told he built the sites for Scott Ford's Westrock Capital Partners and Jeff Fox's Circumference Group. Not a bad start.
Eric Caldwell, former manager of IT procurement, dived head first into what was once his side business, webjive.com.
On a related note, Greg Schaffer, former chief risk officer at Alltel, is now assistant secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. We're told he's building a cyber-security department to make the Web a safer place. (Someone needs to.)
Stay tuned for more post-Alltel developments.
