Jim McClelland has stepped down after 23 years as CEO of McClelland Consulting Engineers of Fayetteville and Little Rock. His new title: chairman emeritus
Byron Hicks will be the first non-McClelland to run the firm in its 46-year history.
Mitch Rose is the new executive vice president, while Daniel Barnes is president of the northwest Arkansas office, and Dan Beranek is the new president of the Little Rock office. Former President Johnny Quinn remains with the firm and will work with McClelland on special projects.
Former VP Robert White's new title is project manager.
This leadership transition has been in the works for a couple of years, but it was announced last week at a fish fry MCE sponsored for the Arkansas Municipal League. Cities are frequent clients of the engineering firm.
