Sergei Voloshin, professor of physics in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wayne State University, has been named a fellow of the American Physical Society. The society's fellowship program recognizes members who have helped advance the field of physics through original research and publication or through innovative contributions in the application of physics to science and technology. Voloshin, a Farmington Hills resident, was recog nized for his "numerous seminal contributions to the methods and interpretation of collective flow in relativistic nuclear collisions.
