A central Arkansas company has landed a contract with one of the world's largest aerospace companies. The Boeing Co. of Chicago awarded a contract to Galley Support Innovations of Sherwood.
The company will provide latches for Boeing's 747-400 project, a long-range commercial aircraft that seats about 400. The GSI news release did not disclose how much the contract is worth.
GSI manufactures locks and latches for the aerospace industry and has been in business since 1964.
"Boeing continues to create and design stellar aircraft, and the new 747 is no different," the release states. "Its signature interior has 1,500 SF of beauty and flawless design. It is by far one of the most recognized aircrafts ever created."
