The Biomine division of Upfront Chromatography, the Danish developer of customised industrial-scale protein separation technologies, has developed a cost-effective protein isolation technology that facilitates the mining of food grade proteins from biofuel side streams. The Rhobust EBA technology, developed from Upfront's Expanded Bed Adsorption (EBA) technology, can isolate soluble proteins, free of contaminants like trypsin inhibitors, from crops such as rapeseed and soya bean in the 25-100g pure protein/kg of seeds.
