Weekly UpdatesBiotechnology company Biotie has appointed Chris Piggott chief business officer and a member of the management team, effective 1 June 2009. He succeeds Kai Lahdesmaki who retired from the company in 2007. Piggott has worked for sanofi-aventis and its predecessors, including Aventis Pharma, Marion Merrell Dow and Hoechst Marion Roussel for 25 years.
