The Labcell AquaSorp Isotherm Generator can produce accurate adsorption and desorption isotherms in 24 hours or less. Whilst Labcell now offer an isotherm generation service that enables samples to be received and results returned within one week.

The AquaSorp utilises patented Dynamic Dewpoint Isotherm (DDI) technology that offers exceptional speed and detail, providing information that gives users a far better understanding of the water interactions within the material being analysed. In just 24 hours, the AquaSorp creates a set of isotherms with hundreds of data points, excellent resolution and without any user intervention.

This is in contrast to the traditional method of using temperature-controlled humidity chambers and balances to establish when equilibrium has been reached, which means it takes several weeks to produce isotherms with only a very limited number of points on each plot.

In addition to rapid measurements, the AquaSorp offers a wide water activity measurement range of 0.10 to 0.95 aw (10 to 95 percent relative humidity) and excellent accuracy to +/-0.005 aw.
