The new pipe plant in Little Rock has attracted a lawsuit and another lien from firms bearing claims for unpaid work on the $30 million project.
Entech Inc. of Conway sued Welspun Pipes Inc. and Welspun Tubular LLC alleging breach of contract.
Entech claims India-based Welspun failed to provide accurate and complete drawings per the contract, requiring Entech to rework and redesign portions of the project. That resulted in more than 600 revisions to Welspun's drawings, according to Entech.
The company is seeking $239,279 for unpaid design services on the plant at 9301 Frazier Pike. Entech's engineering contract with Welspun was for $459,000.
Comfort Systems USA (Arkansas) Inc. of North Little Rock filed a lien claim of $666,524 for unpaid heating/ cooling, piping and plumbing work.
According to the firm, its contract started at $1.3 million and grew to $4.5 million.
