Stephens Inc. of Little Rock announced last week that it had restructured its investment research on the transportation industry and will begin research in two new industries: education and specialty retail manufacturing. The transportation research team includes Alex Brand, managing director and research analyst, covering the airfreight and logistics industries; George Pickral, who has been promoted to research analyst, with concentration on railroads, railroad suppliers and maritime; and lack Waldo, senior vice president and research analyst, who will focus on trucks and trucking-related companies. Meanwhile, Eric Hollowaty, of Stephens' Evanston, Ill., office, has been promoted to research analyst and plans to begin coverage on the education and specialty retail manufacturing industries.
