The University of Central Arkansas at Conway recently acquired the collection of John L. Ward, which contains photographs, personal and professional correspondence, items related to interviews, Toad Suck Daze material, books and memorandums related to UCA. Ward was a senior aide to Gov. Winthrop Rockefeller, managing editor of the Log Cabin Democrat newspaper in Conway and vice president of public affairs at UCA. The collection will be processed by the UCA Archives and ready for researchers by the fall of 2009.
