Weekly UpdatesGARNER -- A natural gas leak caused an explosion that killed three and injured 40 at the local ConAgra Foods plant, according to the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The plant, which employs about 900, makes Slim Jim meat snacks. The Omaha, Neb.-based company hasn't said whether it will resume full production.
