White Oak Market open in Fayetteville.(NW Journal: A Look at News From Northwest Arkansas)

Disappointed doughnut lovers near the Crossover area in Fayetteville got good news recently.

Although Daylight Donuts went out of business months ago, pastries are now available thanks to the folks behind the new White Oak Market. Those people are Steven Lair, Steve Turner and Gary Combs.

The group purchased the entire 5,400-SF building at 1940 N. Crossover, which formerly housed a convenience store and the doughnut shop, on Oct. 31 and has been renovating it since. In addition to all the usual products available at a convenience store, White Oak Market will offer what Lair called "a gourmet market" area that will seat about 50.

Financing for the project was secured through The Bank of Fayetteville.
