Glass says goodbye to Harris Tea Company.(People News)

Knox Glass has retired from an active role at Harris Tea Company. Glass has been with Harris Tea for 11 successful years and in the consumer products industry for over forty years.

He is highly respected for his technical knowledge, marketing expertise, personal integrity and professionalism. His dedication to the business of Harris Tea's customers has been enormous and is most appreciated. Glass did not just work for Harris Tea Company, but was involved with projects for the parent company, Harris Freeman. Glass has mentored many people throughout his career. His opinion, demeanor, the manner in which he articulates a perspective, all contribute to the high regard in which he is perceived throughout major segments of the food industry.

Harris Freeman, including all of its subsidiaries, company partnerships, customers, vendors and co-workers extend to Glass continued good health and that he enjoy the years ahead. Richard Haas will take up the daily responsibilities of Glass.

Joe Simrany, president of the Tea Association of the USA said of Glass, "For those veterans of the industry who have an opportunity to work with Knox you know that he will leave a void that will be extremely hard to fill. I for one have had many opportunities to work with Knox and know him to be an extraordinarily knowledgeable and effective manager who never quits until the job is done. In fact his involvement with tea will surely continue as he was the first individual to volunteer his services at the upcoming Charleston SC STI Tea Certification program in September. We look forward to working with him yet again and hope that everyone attending the STI Tea Certification program and the following tour of the Charleston Tea Plantation also take the opportunity to make his acquaintance."
