* "My brothers and I grew up surfing in Santa Barbara," says Shea Parton, brand director for the California-based menswear line Apolis Activism. "Our dad gave us our first pair of Katin board shorts and told us we'd never need another." Parton extends his father's wisdom to the world for Apolis' latest collaboration, a capsule collection of board shorts with Katin. They're stylistically and physically durable--Katin made boat covers in the '50s and uses that same protective canvas to make the suits-so they should withstand all the surfing, sailing, sunburning and stoop-sitting you're bound to do this summer.
