LEGENT CLEARING TO OFFER MORNING ADVISOR WORKSTATION.

Legent Clearing has announced that they have teamed with independent investment research provider Morningstar, Inc., to provide Morningstar's advisor software products to more than 75 correspondent firms.

The agreement features Morningstar Advisor Workstation Enterprise Edition, a Web-based modular platform that provides advisors with investment planning, client presentation, portfolio analysis, and investment research tools. Advisors can efficiently analyze investments and portfolios to give recommendations using reports and information that clients can understand.

Enterprise Edition is designed to work with an organization's other systems and applications, and its modular nature enables it to be configured to a firm's specific needs. The software will be made available to Legent's correspondent firms to offer to their investment representatives. Morningstar's two other advisor software platforms, Morningstar Office and Principia, will also be accessible to advisors covered under the agreement.

"The Morningstar workstation is another example of how we continue to expand our wealth management offerings to accommodate the varied needs of our correspondents and their clients," said Ray Maratea, President of Legent Clearing.

"We're very excited about the partnership with Legent and the opportunity to provide Advisor Workstation Enterprise Edition to Legent's network of broker-dealers," said Chris Boruff, president of advisor software for Morningstar. "This will enable their advisor clients to provide a high level of service for clients with a customizable, Web-based solution that is used by many large institutions."
