NIC PARTNERS SIGNS ON AS AUGUSTA SYSTEMS RESELLER.

Augusta Systems, Inc., Morgantown, W.Va., a provider of technologies that power the intelligent convergence of devices, systems and networks, and NIC Partners, a communications systems integrator, have signed a reseller agreement. Through the agreement, NIC Partners will sell Augusta Systems EdgeFrontier, a complete middleware platform for building and managing complex monitoring, control and automation solutions.

EdgeFrontier products from Augusta Systems support integration and normalization of data, events and control functions from diverse devices, systems and networks, regardless of manufacturer or communications protocol, including sensors, wireless sensor networks, RFID systems, video devices and systems, access control systems, metering and measurement devices, actuators, databases, file repositories and other sources. In addition, EdgeFrontier provides structures for event processing and configuration of event or policy-based actions through a policy engine.

Through the reseller agreement, NIC Partners will offer EdgeFrontier to clients, providing a simplified convergence platform for the integration of diverse devices and systems, as well as remote, localized event or policy-based processing of data and events, which pushes intelligence beyond the data center, throughout the network infrastructure. These capabilities eliminate the need for custom interface development and allow for enhanced information management.
