Thomson Reuters, Ann Arbor, Mich., has announced that Techstreet (www.techstreet.com) has signed an agreement to distribute standards from the Association of Electrical and Medical Imaging Equipment Manufacturers (NEMA). The standards are available in PDF format for immediate download or in hard- copy format via the Techstreet e-commerce Web site, techstreet.com.
NEMA is the largest U.S. trade organization representing manufacturers of products used in the generation, transmission, distribution, control and end-use of electricity. NEMA provides a forum for the development of technical standards used in utility, medical imaging, industrial, commercial, institutional and residential applications. Many of NEMA's 350+ standards have been approved by ANSI, the American National Standards Institute, and adopted by the U.S. government.
"We are pleased to now offer NEMA standards," said Andrew Bank, director of Business Development for Techstreet. "NEMA standards complement our content offerings in the electrical and electronics industry, including those from AAMI, IEC, CIE, IEEE, IES, UL and others. NEMA standards are critical for product design, quality and testing, as well as product liability and regulatory affairs. PDF format means the standards are available for immediate download 24 hours a day, in any location worldwide."
