Whatever happened to John R. Mills, former head of Affiliated Foods Southwest Inc. of Little Rock?

Mills was unceremoniously ousted as CEO just before the news broke in March that the grocery wholesaler and retail operator was bouncing checks.

Since then--nada.

Last week "Whispers" got hold of Mills at his home in Cabot's Greystone Country Club neighborhood.

What did Mills have to say about the downfall of one of Arkansas' largest private companies, which he had headed since 2004?

A terse "no comment."
