Dual redundant boards provide bus interface for 1553.(PAUL'S PICKS)

The DNA-1553-553 and DNR-1553-553 are two-channel MIL-STD-1553 bus interface boards for the company's Cubes and RACKtangle I/O chassis, respectively. Each channel provides a dual redundant 1553 interface and is transformer coupled although direct coupling is optional.

Each port may be independently configured as a bus controller, a remote terminal, or a bus monitor. The boards can operate from -40 to +85[degrees]C and 0 to 70,000 ft and withstand 5g vibration and up to 50g shock. The DNA/DNR-1553-553 incorporates the UEI 1553 API. The software driver is compatible with Vista, Windows, and Linux and OSs such as RTX, QNX, and RT Linux.
