City to spend some of its green on new bowling green.(CORONADO)(Palm Engineering)(Brief article)
How much does a good lawn bowling green cost these days? The city opened bids to restore its civic bowling green with artificial turf. The apparent low bidder at the July 29 bid opening was Palm Engineering of San Diego, which said it could complete the project for $323,000. There were eight bidders, with the highest coming in at $415,000. Several of the contractor teams included consultants from Australia.
