Concepts Worldwide, a meeting and event management services provider, is no longer in business.
Terri Breining, who launched the business 20 years ago, said that the loss of several key accounts this year, combined with current economic conditions, prompted her to shut operation Aug. 1.
She said she expects to continue in the industry, focusing more on training and education, including return-on-investment workshops, facilitating board retreats, auditing meeting departments and serving on advisory boards.
Concepts Worldwide had sales of $6.9 million and 14 employees in 2008, according to Hoover's, which is based in Texas and offers financial data on businesses.
