Topical retinoid.(PRODUCTS)

Refissa (tretinoin cream, 0.05%) is formulated to reduce free wrinkles, rough skin, and irregular pigmentation in patients who protect their skin from the sun by wearing sunscreen. It should be applied lightly once a day at bedtime, 20-30 minutes after the face has been washed. Refissa is available in a 40-g tube, which may last 2-3 months, depending on usage. Early in treatment, the product may produce redness, itching, burning, stinging, and peeling, which can be exacerbated by sunlight. Refissa should not be used by patients taking photosensitizing drugs.
