Textured Coatings of America gets Top Green building award.(Fresh Paint)

Textured Coatings of America (Texcote), a manufacturer of specialty coatings for residential and commercial buildings, has been named the "Top Green Coating Project" by the Journal of Architectural Coatings. The designation came as a result of applying Texcote's energy efficient Coolwall coating system to the Lake Mary, FL, office building of Burke, Hogne, & Mills Associates Inc., an architectural firm that specializes in sustainable design. Coolwall Textured Primer and Coolwall Super-Cote were applied to the exterior of the facility and reduced the buildings energy demand by up to 21%. This helped Burke, Hogne, & Mills achieve LEED Silver status from the U.S. Green Building Council.
