Cushman & Wakefield announced the completion of two new leases at 1385 Broadway totaling 57,000 s/f. Paris Accessories has signed a 40,000 s/f lease and the N.Y. State Health Foundation has signed a 17,000 s/f lease.
The new leases bring the total square footage leased in the building year-to-date to 150,000 s/f, including 10 new leases and 15 renewals. The 24-story office building at 38th Street and Broadway in Times Square South benefits from a location central to the Penn Station and Grand Central districts.
Cushman & Wakefield brokerage professionals Jonathan Serko, Gary Greenspan, Diana Gaines and David Malawer represented the building ownership, Bloomingdale Properties, along with Larry Lazerwitz of Cushman & Wakefield's Strategic Agency Services group. The Cushman & Wakefield team became the exclusive leasing agent for the property at the beginning of 2009.
In addition to Paris Accessories, other major recent leases include a 45,500 s/f renewal with ZanaDi, a 4,788 s/f lease for BMGM Co., as well as a new retail lease with Crumbs Bakery.
"We are very pleased with our results year-to-date and will continue the tremendous effort from our leasing and marketing team and our highly-proactive approach to leasing at 1385 Broadway," said Mr. Serko.
"Bloomingdale Properties is a superb landlord, stable, experienced and hands-on with an attention to every detail that tenants appreciate. As a result, they have been extremely effective in retaining, targeting and attracting the right tenants for the building," he said.
