Aug. 28: The NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate is offering an approved 22.5-hour continuing education course, titled "Update on Real Estate Practices." This class also fulfills the three-hour fair housing requirement for all New York State real estate licensees and is being offered on three consecutive days, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, August 28-30, meeting from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. In this 22.5-hour course, you will examine recent cases and rulings affecting sales and brokerage practices in New York. This class will be presented at the Midtown Center, 11 West 42nd Street, 4th floor and is scheduled to be taught by Milton Pachter. Sept. 8: The Broadway Mall Association (BMA), in conjunction with the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and New York gallery, Susan Eley Fine Art, announced the upcoming public exhibition of sculptures by New York artist Carole Eisner. The exhibition of eight monumental works, made from twisted and curved steel, will be on view in the malls from West 62nd to West 166th Streets, from September 8 through November 30, 2009.

Sept. 22: As the first event for the 2009-2010 year, Industrial and Office Brokers Association of the New York Metropolitan Area (IOREBA) will host a joint meeting with members of Industrial/Commercial Real Estate Women, Inc. (ICREW N J) aboard a boat cruise on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009. Boarding will begin at 6 p.m., and the cruise will set sail from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The meeting will be held on a newly released private luxury yacht, "Destiny."
