Sprinting Man is just Dandy.

DANDY Man has been locking horns with some of the world's top sprinters this season, and can make the most of a drop in class at Leicester. The six-year-old is without a victory since April 2007, but has been running with huge credit in Group One events for the last couple of seasons.

He was not disgraced in the King's Stand at Royal Ascot in June, but subsequent efforts in the Audi Stakes and the Nunthorpe tend to suggest he is perhaps not up to competing at the highest level these days.

He faces nothing like the opposition he has been mixing it with so far this year in the Weatherbys Printing Conditions Stakes and given the fantastic form of the Godolphin team, he looks very difficult to oppose.

It would be no great surprise to see the royal blue silks in the winner's enclosure once again in the EBF Filbert Maiden Fillies' Stakes with La Ville Lumiere likely to improve on her debut sixth.

The juvenile effectively lost all chance at the start on her introduction at Lingfield, but stayed on over a trip that looked short enough on breeding.

There should be plenty of improvement to come from that and stepping up to a mile, she has to be one for the shortlist.

Falasteen acquitted himself well in good company at York's Ebor meeting and the Sapper Conditions Stakes at Ripon looks well within his compass.

The Dandy Nicholls inmate impressed plenty when bolting up on his debut on the Knavesmire and built on that effort with a promising third at Musselburgh.

He was beaten less than two lengths in the DBS pounds 300000 St Leger Yearling Stakes on his latest outing and a similar effort would see him go very close in this company. Jackday has been running well in defeat all season and can get the victory his consistency deserves in the Wakeman Stayers Handicap.

The son of Daylami has yet to finish outside the first four in six starts this season and filled the runner-up spot on his latest outing at Beverley.

He has been dropped a pound in the weights since and has a very good claimer on board to boot, so everything points to a big performance in what is only a moderate event.

Smart hurdler Tot Of The Knar looks the banker of Newton Abbot's card in the Oliver Carter Memorial Novices' Chase.

The seven-year-old is rated a very respectable 132 over the smaller obstacles and, although she has so far failed to live up to expectations over fences, perhaps the switch to champion trainer Paul Nicholls will help her produce her best form.
