THE end of PB of Felling's letter about the death penalty made me think again. How this country has gone right down the pan in most aspects of life. The amounts of murders, knifings, sex assaults, cheats, there is no end to the crimes. Prison is not prison, it's a holiday camp.
If you take a life you should lose your own life, anyone that hurts children, especially sex offenders, they should be got rid of too!
Because it is in them, in their minds, so they will never change and if we could stop the abuse, it would help stop the abused becoming an abuser.
Regarding drug abuse, no one told these people to take the drugs, they did it themselves. But they expect to get away with crimes because they were on drugs.
Respect has gone out the window. Our country is in debt, yet we welcome all regardless.
I heard once that in Holland if a young girl gets pregnant, they would help her once, but after that, if they get pregnant again, their families would have to help.
One is a mistake, here young people have one, two, three and so on, having never had a job at all, and expect everything that's going and they get it, and more.
Police don't seem to have the power or respect that they had in the past. If you saw a PC you were not scared, but it was a deterrent.
Now it's the victim that comes off the worst because of this human rights carry-on. What about the rights of the dead person? Is it he can't have any now he's dead? What about these loved ones left behind.
Our soldiers getting killed left right and centre, yes, that's the job they chose, but why is it mainly British lads doing the job? Do these countries want to have us there? We can't babysit them for ever.
The MPs of Parliament, it's disgusting the money and the greed of these people, also the banks and all these ridiculous bonuses.
I'm not living in the past, but one time if you swore, spat or stood in one place too long, you were moved on or fined.
Progress is supposed to make things better.
ANON.
