Bouncy new craze.

THIS picture was taken in June 1986 and shows a new craze that bounced into the North East after sweeping Ireland and America.

Shoppers in Newcastle city centre were treated to a display of the Lolo Ball, and after the hula hoop, Clackers and yos, Grahame McPartlin helped show off the product outside a sports store in Grainger Street.

He said: "Children can use it for fun, but I use it for fitness as well.

"It strengthens your legs and stomach."
